Adult Day Program bringing vocational training, service, and fun!
VADP (Visions Adult Day Program) started in 2014 in the East Bay by Gwendolyn Captain. Visions serves approximately 20 individuals in the City of Richmond. Our mission is to provide participants with opportunities to develop entry-level vocational skills, life-skills training and self-advocacy tools and opportunities.
Visions has developed partnerships with local businesses, faith-based organizations and nonprofits to support our participants to work in their community. This has been a win-win for local businesses and for our participants.

Individualized Services
Visions offers individualized services to developmentally disabled adults who are interested in community integration. The program provides positive and holistic support for adults with a wide array of choices in education classes, enrichment programs and community-based work and activities.
Pre-Vocational Training & Community Service
At Visions, participants are empowered to build the practical skills necessary to secure meaningful employment by serving businesses in the community.
Fun Activities
At Visions, we offer fun, interactive activities—like art, music, and dance—that allow participants to express themselves creatively and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Executive Director/CEO
Gwendolyn Captain is the founder and director of Visions Adult Day Program. Ms. Captain has spent the last 15 years working with developmentally disabled adults and their families developing work opportunities, continuing education paths and entrepreneurial experiences in day programs, community-based programs and in the classroom. Dedicating her career to innovative person-centered opportunities has been the focus of the various creative programs she has developed over the years.
Program Manager
After 20+ years of humble public service; working and volunteering in various capacities within the disabled community, Renee's heart continues to emphatically beat for this community. With a formal education in Early Childhood Development – specializing in working with children with developmental disabilities, counseling and violence intervention – she has been blessed to beautifully weave a connected support system that has been strengthened & fortified when she became the program manager for Visions.
Lead Staff
Kim Randall is an experienced Lead Vocational Counselor. Kim has been working with adults with developmental disabilities. for over 10 years. Kim specializes in training participants, motivating participants and inspiring participants to do their best. Kim brings her passion for DIY (Do It Yourself Projects). The participants love working with Kim and being apart of her team. Kim also has over 10 years experience working residential. Her knowledge of day program and residential services adds an extra level of supports for our participants.
Dmarco Loud
Community Team Member
DMarco is a new member of the Visions team who's gone above and beyond to support the Visions community. One example was when he assisted Chris, Alicia, and Tammy in securing transportation for their outing to an Oakland A's game. Thanks to Vision's community built on trust and support, they were able to rely on Dmarco in their time of need.
