COMPANIONSHIP HELPERS
Visions Companionship Helpers are trained through the Home Care Aide Training Modules. Visions has a partnership with Provider's Friend through New Haven Adult School to support our participants in completing modified sections of the training modules. This enables our participants to enhance their skills and to use their training in their homes and/or across various settings.
A Helper is:

An individual who listens and observes the needs of another individual.

An individual who can assist with serving meals, snacks, and drinks.

An individual who recognizes changes in an individual's pain levels.

An individual who can report what they see to the proper authority.

"GERM BUSTERS"
JANITORIAL TRAINING
NO JOB TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL! Visions participants does janitorial work for churches and small offices. The partnership with Bay Area churches started out having sites for training; on the job training (OJT), but Visions participants quickly mastered their job skills with the support of the staff. Visions has weekly cleaning assignments and the tasks include:

Visions Adult Day Program supports individuals with disabilities work in their communities. Visions’ staff provide job coaching, training, modeling and supports to help each participant complete job tasks completely and thoroughly. Each participant is effectively trained to professionally, safely and efficiently complete basic tasks.
